Humane Eating

Animals in farm houses are often killed mutilated and tortured before or during slaughtering. They can feel pain and feel love and have feelings just like you and dogs and cats. Strays

Every day in the U.S. 70,ooo stay and unwanted cats and dogs are born. This alarming number comes straight to the Humane Society. Packs of stray dogs run in wild packs in abandonded buildinggs left uncheck and usually starve or get hit by cars. This is true in almost all big cities. Amazing only 2o states have laws about the sterilization of these animals (so they can't make more stray animals)! That means 30 states do nothing about this! If this is one of your states demand change! Send letters, hold strikes, or get a pation signed. Shelters all over are being overwelmed even though they euthanize (kill) regularly. This practice is considered cruel by many private citezens.

Lack of space

Everyday animals around the world suffer from lack of space for them to move around in. Some animals even have to share a cage with another animal. It is a law that your pet has to be able to stand up and turn around in their cage. If you know someone who is keeping an animal in to small of a cage to meet the legal regulations you should report them to the cops, animal police, And or the humane society do not try to confront them.

Abandonment

Animals get abandoned all over the world. They usually starve or get hit by cars. a common form of abandonment is leaving an animal behind when you move. This is the cruelest form of abandonment because it doesn't even give the animal a chance to survive because they can't get food and water. Report abandonment of all animals and never abandon an animal yourself it is very mean.

Dog fighting

Dog fighting is bad for dogs because it could injury and or kill one of the dogs. Pitbulls are the main dogs for dog fighting but that doesn't mean that all pitbulls are bad. If you have a suspicion about dog fighting or any other form of animal fighting the immedietly report it. EVEN if it's Just a suspicion. Many people dogfight but they don't care about the animals or anyone else. Just the money they make from there dog killing another one. The dog fighting is not the only problem. It is also the dog training. They will chain dogs to a treadmill for hours untill they collapse, for them to gain muscle. They (the dog fighter's) also will feed the dog's other little dogs to make them like blood and like to kill. Most importantly do NOT blame the dog, it's not their fault.

Animal Starvation

One of the key signs (and starters of) animals starvation is when the family who owns the animal is havng trouble putting food on the table. If the family cant feed them selves the they definitly can't feed a pet. If you are in a time of finanial difficulty then you should not get a pet. You may think it will brighten up the situation, it wont. It Will cause a problem. If you know someone with animals who is having trouble feeding their pets either take charge or let some one else know. Starvation is a horrible way to die.

One of the ways you can help

9590 cats and dogs are euthanized a day. That is because of overpopulation in the shelters. Because the econonmy is so bad people are dropping off animals like crazy. It costs $10 dollars, that is how much it costs to euthanize an animal. In this case there is something that you can do that we know can help. That is fostering. The only reason most of those animals are being"put down" is because there is not enough space. By fostering an animal (or animals) you are taking them out of the shelter to make room for the other needy animals untill they can be adopted.

Puppy Mills

Puppy Mills are places that keep dogs in small dark areas where they never leave. The adult dogs only purpose their is to be bred. Only the puppies leave. Hundreds of dogs are stuck in to small places for example 100 puppies will be kept in a 10 by 10 foot cage until its time to go. Lots of the dogs are trampled or suffocate by the time their supposed to because of the massive about of animals. You can stop the puppy mills by only getting animals from the shelter. This will slowly discourage puppy mills because no one will buy their animals. You can also stop puppy mills buy checking out where you got your animals or where the local pet store if it sounds suspicious.
